Starry Night is our annual gala and biggest fundraiser. We gather with friends and family to celebrate our program and encourage guests to sponsor a child’s education. Sponsorships could be for tuition, extra curricular activities and summer camps, technology, or tutoring and mentoring.
Our 2020 Starry Night took place in our homes. While we were unable to be together, our community of supporters still made the night a success. We heard from our leaders- Founder Dr. Timothy Flanagan, President Laura McPhie Olivieira, and Executive Director Ellen Lough. Gurdon and Kathy Wattles shared their reasons for being long time sponsors. Then we heard from our students, a current student as well as a graduate. We are hopeful that we will gather on June 4, 2021 at the Kilburn Mill at Clark’s Cove and celebrate New Bedford Star Kids Scholarship Program.
